Personally: I use YYYYMMDD for darn near everything for the obvious reasons that it&#039;s nice and sortable. 

Publically: I have to use MM/DD/YYYY because absolutely no one else on this planet thinks logically and bank managers seldom see the logic of having zero padded structured date formats.

Ok, granted, I also privately count on my fingers in binary, but that&#039;s usually because I get beat up whenever i get to 4 (and all the Metal Heads think I&#039;m cool when I get to 25).
